STUDENT LEADERSHIP INCUBATOR

A platform for future leaders
to discover, develop and practice
their leadership competencies, as they contribute to our community and beyond.

The Student Leadership Incubator is a collaboration between London Business School's Leadership Institute, Career Centre and Experiential Learning team.

With focus on learning beyond the classroom, this bi-weekly,
8 month learning incubator acts as a compliment to your leadership roles within the London Business School community. With the support of peers, coaches, faculty and others, you can explore and experiment with your leadership competencies.

Read about last year's participants' experiences on The Know-How, LBS Career Centre's blog.

THE LEARNING FRAMEWORK

The Leadership Incubator is anchored in three key principles.

Take every opportunity to know & develop yourself

Academic excellence in practice

Lifelong peer networks

THE LEARNING JOURNEY

From October to May, the Incubator is designed to support an iterative process of exploration and experimentation through reflection, insight, and practice. Every two weeks, alongside your peers, you'll cycle through the following core components:

  • Facilitated reflection and goal-setting

  • Targeted faculty seminars

  • Peer leadership opportunities

  • 1 to 1 coaching

CLUB LEADERSHIP NETWORK

We're also introducing a new programme of skills workshops and seminars designed to support LBS club officers as they undertake the challenge of leading their peers. Please register here to receive updates and to share your ideas for what we should include!

The opportunity to practice different leadership and management skills in a setting with fellow students, in a safe setting, where it was okay to get something wrong; that to me is completely invaluable.

My primary motivator for doing an MBA was personal development. Leadership was the area in which I needed the most growth, and the Leadership Incubator gave me the education, tools and coaching to achieve this.
